Letter to WHO Director-General from Reem Alsalem, UNHR

Reem Alsalem (Special Raporteur on violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences) has written a letter of complaint to Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO (World Health Organisation), regarding WHO’s recent announcement that it intends to develop a guideline on the health of trans and gender diverse people, and to organise a meeting in Geneva on February 18-21, 2024, to develop gender-affirmative treatment guidelines and policy recommendations.
