LAVA (Lesbian Action for Visibility in Aotearoa) v NZ Pride

LAVA is a sex realist lesbian group in New Zealand  whose aplication to hld a stall at NZ Pride was rejected because they are allegedly TERFS, yet they have publicly supporte transgender people’s human rights and have a long history of working with the rainbow community. LAVA members held their stall outside the event and have taken NZ Pride to Court for discrimination because of their political beliefs. This action by LAVA has similarities with the LAG case in Victoria,Australia where the Lesbian Acion Group was refused permission to hold a women only celebration of International Lesbian Day at the Victorian Pride Centre.
